The signs are the coarse layer. The nakshatras are where a chart starts saying something specific, and the deity of a nakshatra tells you more than any keyword list ever will.
A varga is not another chart. It is a magnification of one department of the same chart, and reading it as an independent horoscope is the most common way practitioners go wrong.
